I've had the privilege of getting to know Shaun over the years, and one thing that stands out immediately when you meet him is that he is a man of deep conviction. He doesn't just speak about what he believes he lives it out.
I first met Shaun during the Freedom Convoy, at a time when people were struggling under COVID restrictions. What I witnessed in him was genuine compassion. He stepped up to support those who were most affected, even at personal risk.
He opened his home, created space for people to gather, and chose human connection over fear of consequences. That kind of courage and selflessness is rare.
Since that time, I've seen a powerful transformation in Shaun's life. He has come to know Jesus, and now his convictions are not only strong they are rooted in Christ. There is something real, tangible, and inspiring about the way he lives out his faith today.
Shaun isn't someone who just talks about faith, he walks it out daily. He is being led by God in a way that genuinely impacts the people around him. It's inspiring, and honestly, it's something I wish more Christians embodied.
It's an honour to call Shaun a friend.

During the pandemic, when my family and I had lost all hope, Shaun was a light in the darkness for all of us. His courage and sense of community gave us the hope we all needed. He opened his home and heart to all of us. I thanked God everyday for this man and the role he played in keeping my daughter and I afloat in one of our most difficult times. He offered classes for all ages, dinners and countless events and asked for nothing in exchange. This man and the mission he serves has my support. Thank you Shaun!!

I met Shaun in 2021. The first time I met him I felt there was something special and unique about him. Back then even if Shaun's relationship with Jesus hadn't been fulfilled I could already see his big heart and his tremendous love for his fellow man. Through the next five years I saw Shaun be refined and reformed into the tremendous man of God he is today. His faith is not lacking and today he shows an even more immense love for his fellow man. A fierce advocate for faith and a strong brother. I am proud to call him my friend.

Whether it was the thrill of hitting a target with axe throwing or the camaraderie of sitting by the fire, he created an environment where my kids could just be themselves. His dedication to supporting the youth in Winnipeg is inspiring and I’m positive that others will benefit from the supportive and safe space he provides.

I met Shaun at the height of the pandemic — bold, loud, and fearless, opening his home to teens and families when the world was shutting down, even at great personal cost. Though he didn’t claim to follow Jesus, he lived with a courage and selflessness that reflected Him more than he knew. Over time, I watched the searching in his heart turn into surrender as he encountered the love and truth of Christ.
The strength is still there, now it’s anchored in humility, and his allegiance belongs fully to Jesus.

I have seen Shaun lead people and bring community together, courageously taking a stand. He used to have a more hardened exterior, one day I was talking to him, and I couldn't believe his transformation, he actually looks like a different person. He didn't have that heaviness, he seemed lighter, free, God was doing such a work in Him. I’ve never seen anything quite like that transformation! It amazed me, made me more in awe of God! God truly can heal and change people! Shaun is a leader and loves Jesus and I'm excited to see where God uses him to help.

Shaun came into my life at a time that God knew I needed him most. The first night we met, I recognized he was someone I wanted to forge a relationship with. In the years I've known Shaun I’ve witnessed him surrender his life entirely to Christ, and it’s through his journey that I was able to see the power in being a man of God and His ability to lead you out of the darkness. Shaun saw Christ in me when I lost the ability to see Him in myself. It was through his faithfulness and ability to listen and not judge that I was able to pick my faith back up and surrender.

Shaun created a place where people could come together during a concerning time. There was always a real sense of camaraderie and acceptance. For my family, it felt like a safe haven. My husband and children were able to meet new friends, and the kids had a space where they could connect and just enjoy being part of a positive community. Over the last few years Shaun has really grown in his relationship with Christ and it’s been such an honour to witness! He has a gift of poetry and the way he shares deep meaning is really significant, I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for him!

As soon as Shaun learned the truth about Jesus he jumped right in and started telling people about Him. Shaun has been a constant encouragement in my life by modelling the love Jesus has for people.
He leads from the front. He loves to encourage people and tell them all about how Jesus has changed his life for the better and how Jesus is just waiting for an invitation to do the same in their life.

I've known Shaun Zimmer since 2020, and the Shaun I first met and the Shaun I know now are two totally different people. That type of transformation only happens when Jesus Christ enters the heart and the Holy Spirit takes root in the body. All the effort he puts into life today yields an abundant amount of good fruit in this fallen world.
There is nothing this world needs more in this day and age then men pursuing God with their entire mind, body, heart and effort. I know Shaun will continue to lead many more to Christ.
