Commission Crew
Join us serving people in need with compassion, care, and prayer—the 1st Sunday of every month @ 2pm
Service Description
We meet outside the front doors of Union Gospel Mission at 320 Princess Street in Winnipeg on the first Sunday of each month at 2pm—we load up our wagons, pray together, then leave by foot at 2:15pm. The Commission Crew is a monthly street outreach focused on serving those experiencing homelessness and those walking through recovery. We go out together to meet people where they are—offering supplies, connection, prayer, and the Gospel. This is more than just handing things out. It's about seeing people, listening to their stories, and reminding them they are not forgotten—it's about The Great Commission, the power of prayer, the body of Christ, and showing the love of Christ in action. We aim to be present with compassion and respect along with providing something the people we encounter need. We believe real impact happens through consistent presence, prayer, and provision. By showing up on the first Sunday of every month, we build trust, relationships, and opportunities to share the hope found in Jesus in a real and personal way. If you feel called to serve, you're invited to join us. No special experience is needed—just a willing heart. You are not required to bring anything but we do invite volunteers to bring supplies such as food, water, and clothing. Together, we step into the streets to bring light, hope, prayer, the Gospel, and practical help to people in need.
